Grant Awards Projects

Below you will find details on grants that have been awarded by the Johnson County Kansas Heritage Foundation to its members.

JCKHF 2026 Grants:

  • Gardner Historical Museum, $1,395 for improving storage of the costume collection and exhibition materials
  • Leawood Historical Commission, $1,500 to support the development of historic trails interpretive signage in Gezer Park
  • Lenexa Historical Society, $750 to print informational materials pert. to the route of the Jefferson Highway in Johnson County

JCKHF 2025 Grants:

  • Gardner Historical Museum, $1,728 to equip its library/research facility
  • Kansas School for the Deaf Museum, $800 for scanning equipment
  • Kansas City Area Historical Trails Association, $750 for printing rack cards
  • Museum of Deaf History, Arts & Culture, $1,415 to redevelop its immersion exhibition
  • Lenexa Historical Society, $2,000 for the design of a public mural of local history
  • Olathe Ensor Foundation, $1,000 to purchase supplies to preserve historical materials.
A grant from the Johnson County Kansas Heritage Foundation to the Lenexa Historical Society supported the design of this downtown mural. Look for it in the future.
